Mashujaa Day

Today is Mashujaa Day.

“Kenyans will be celebrating Mashujaa Day (or Heroes Day) on 20th October. The day, which was formally known as Kenyatta Day, is meant to commemorate the struggle that Kenyans endured at the hands of the British colonialists before attaining independence.”

  1. Hi, Kelly!
I heard on the news tonight that they rescued a baby elephant in Kenya. It had gotten into a hole, so they tied a rope around it to pull it out. We immediately thought of you and if it was close to you. Happy Heroes Day!

    Love,

    Teta
